hello muskaan. sea anemone and hermit crab is an eg. for protocooperation [non-obligatory,as u said]

  • Muskaan Bhardwaj

Relation between sea anemone and hermit crab is non obligatory but is example of symbiosis, not of commensalism.

    in question 3,
    option a is also correct
    as it comes under parasitism

    • Mahesh Sharma

Parasite in true sense and brood parasitism are different things. True parasite are generally smaller than host, have short life span than host, reproduce on /in them. Eg. Tapeworm, lice ,roundworms, etc.

Because foetus get nurishment from mother w/o any harm to mother so it is an example of commenslism

      • shudhanshu

No….foetus retrieve its nutrition from the mother through umbilical cord….so it could not be an example of commensalism……..also it do no harm to the mother as she increase her nutritional value of diet to meet her usual requirement along with her foetus…..also it brings happiness in the family….so it could not be an example of parasitism…..thats it..
