i have read that A band remains constant, I band & h zonecontracts. please check the 12th question, i have a doubt.

Thanks Shivani. Your point about sarcomere contraction is correct.
      In sarcomere contraction
      1. The actin filaments approach one another
      2. The thin filaments (actin) slide past the thick filaments (myosin)
      3. As a result of this I band shorten, Z line move inward, and the H zone almost or completely get thinner.
      4. The total length of A-bands in muscle fibres remains constant
      4. The shape of the sarcomere changes from a rectangular to a square.

Hensen’s (dobiee’s zone) or H band disappears if muscles is contracted completely.
