There are 15 questions to complete.
In this test Ques. No. 15 and 10 are wrong.
Ans. Of 15 is (B)– A hinge joint is a common class of synovial joint that includes the ankle, elbowjoints. Hinge joints are formed between two or more bones where the bones can only move along one axis to flex or extend.
Ans. Of 10 is (a) –only ca2+ And mg2+ are the elements associated with muscle contraction.
Sincere thanks for your useful response. The questions have been rectified.
Sir, just 4 ur attention
in BIO QUIZ 3 the last ques,
Synovial joints occur between
Tail vertebrae
Humerus and ulna
Two skull bones
Two vertebrae
here the answer is given as “two vertebra” but according to NCERT it’s a cartilaginous joint, and from the options given the correct answer could be (b) ie; HUMERUS and ULNA which is a hinge joint
Sincere thanks for your comment. The correct response is rectified.
In Q 10 ans should be Mg++ and Ca++ rather than the Na+ and Ca++ ..
Reason: Mg++ ion is used to bind the G (globular) actin into F (fibrous) actin and thus makes the structure having two rows of actin protein onto which we have the rope of tropomyosin binded with the help of troponin.
Ca++ ion are used to unmask the active binding site for myosin to attach it into actin and thus to reduce the size of sarcomere…
why not Na+
Na+ ion are rather used in transmitting the action potential to the myofibril but are not actually used in “muscle contraction”
answer 15 is wrong. The vertebrae have cartilage between them; its a CARTILAGENOUS JOINT, not synovial. Synovial joints have fluid-filled cavity in between. eg: ball and socket, pivot, hinge joint, etc.
sir plz understand me 15 ques i think nswer of 15th ques.is synovial joints b/w two vertebrae.
