Dear Bhaskar, there is nothing like a villus cell. Microvilli are finger-like projections present on the surface of some cells.

Digestion of carbohydrates starts in the buccal cavity. Saliva containing salivary amylase, an enzyme that begins the chemical digestion of starch. As food is retained in buccal cavity for a short period, only 30% of food is hydrolyzed in buccal cavity.
Digestion is completed in the small intestine (duodenum receives bile and pancreatic juice which readies it for digestion)
