i feel it is right option C
because in our class same question was there and our professor told us that
” proteins moreover are associated with the outer and inner carbohydrates and other macromolecules whereas lipids are very small macromolecules(size 800 Da) in comparison to proteins, and not preferentially associated with other macromolecules and micromolecules due to their hydrophobic ends projecting out”
