and it gives us confidence to solve this type of questions
SIR
one more doubt in question 14
we have studied purine ( adenine, guanine )and pyrimidine ( cytosine, uracil, thymine)so according to question which contains 4 pyrimidines ?? actually there are 4 pyrimidines?? can you please correct me..??
the pyrimidines includes- cytosine(C), uracil(U), thymine(T)…and Option 1: GATCAATGC is the only option where there are 4 pyrimidines are present (two T, two C).
Actually in 14th question They have asked – ‘Which one contain 4 py bases?’ As U said there r nly 3 py bases…. Check out in options for no. Of py bases in each sequence…..
In option A – U could see there r exactly 4 py bases in sequence n all others are pu
In Option B – U could see only 3 py bases in whole given sequence
In option C – There r nly 2 py bases in the given whole seq
In option D – There r 5 py bases
But in question they have mentioned Num 4
Hence ans is OPTION – A
For more clarity Iam highlighting the py in each option down :
A. gaTCaaTgC – nly 4 py
B. gCUagaCaa – nly 3 py
C. UagcggUaa – nly 2 py
D. TgCCTaaCg – 5 py (morethan 4)
So ans is OPTION – A
I hope U got it clarified 🙂
this questions are quite helpful for practicing MCQs..
sir
i have a doubt in question no 1
in transgenic animals how foreign gene is introduced in all the cells??
i think it should be in some of their cells….
If its introduced nly in some of the cells dont U think that Original seq will think it as mutated or foreign n send those cells to Apoptosis. If we introduce foreign gene in all cells even though its foreign the cells’s funcrion wont be supressed. Think of homozygosity n heterozygosity for clear view of how genes work….. 😉
